SSR Botanic Garden
Situated near Port Louis, this is the oldest botanic garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Spread over 33 hectares, it dates back to the 18th century. An obelisk, the model of an old sugar mill, and a chateau are some points of interest in the garden which put it on the list of things to do in Mauritius.

This village in the Riviere Noire district is a must see in Mauritius. The main attractions here are the Chamarel Falls, the Seven Coloured Earths, and the Black River Gorges National Park. The region is also a coffee-producing area.
