War Remnants Museum
This museum is all about the long war between America and Vietnam and the impact it had on the Vietnamese. Armoured vehicles, bombs, weapons, and more are on display at this museum alongside the French guillotine, the infamous ‘tiger cages’ and collections of wartime photographs, which make it a must see in Ho Chi Minh.
Timing: 7.30 am to 12pm, 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm
Cu Chi Tunnels
This vast network of underground tunnels which were crucial to the Viet Cong’s military strategy are today a major tourist attraction. The tunnels extend for up to 120 km and were constructed in such a way that military tanks could pass over them without causing them any damage! This should push them to the top of your list of what to see in Ho Chi Minh.

Cao Dai Temple
The Cao Dai faith is one which combines elements from various other world religions including Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. Lord Buddha, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Confucius, Joan of Arc, and Julius Caesar are all given a place of honour at this shrine.
Timing: Every day all round the clock. Prayer sessions take place four times a day at 6-hour intervals.
Jade Emperor Pagoda
This is one of the important shrines in Ho Chi Minh City and was built by the Chinese community in 1909. Though a Taoist temple it allows permits Buddhist worship and is characterized by its intricate architecture, carvings, and statues.
Timing: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm

Bitexco Tower and Sky Deck
This contemporary office building is the tallest structure in Vietnam and offers a Skydeck for a bird’s eye view of the city below. the deck on the 49th floor can be accessed via fast elevators which take only about 39 seconds to get there!
Timing: Skydeck open from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm
This historical palace is best known for the iconic picture of a tank bursting through its gates signalling the end of the Vietnam War. It sits amidst verdant gardens and has many secret rooms as well as a command bunker alongside antique furniture making it worth a dekko while visiting Ho Chi Minh.
Timing: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
